Bay Street Seafood Market and Deli in Daytona Beach

We stopped in to this hidden jewel on vacation, and we will probably visit everytime we're in the area. They have The best fried pickles ever! Friendly and accommodating staff and delicious food!

Went here for lunch over the weekend waited 45 minutes for our food :-( and there was nobody in front of us when we ordered and only two other tables of people in the restaurant. Food was good but not worth the 45-minute wait. Also $4 for a drink of sweet tea is a little crazy

GREAT FRESH FOOD AT A GREAT PRICE

Food was great I typically don't eat seafood. Thought I would try it and the fish nuggets were hot and fresh plus staff was kind and polite I highly recommend this out of the way seafood spot.

Had the blackened catch of the day sandwich with the cucumber salad; used the dill sauce on the sandwich and life was grand. The onion rings were great, highly recommend them with the malted vinegar. +1 great value. The food was so good, and the price was amazing. +1 cleanliness/decor. Superb. Smelled great, clean area and bathrooms+1 worth the hunt! It isn't the easiest signage to find, but worth it. This is a new staple to my Daytona visits!!

Excellent seafood! Love the outdoor patio. Sometimes feel like the staff could be friendlier but I don't go for the conversation, I go for the amazing fish and chips. Fish is served in lightly breaded and perfectly seasoned strips. Food is fresh and delicious!

Pros - Excellent food - our favorites were fried shrimp & onion rings. Huge portions. Cons - service non-existent, brought drinks & food, never checked in again & very few people there so not because it was crowded. No ice water, you’ll be paying for a drink here. Extremely loud music, this is subjective but we couldn’t hear each other to talk. 3 stars for the excellent food, took away 2 stars for lack of service & atmosphere. I’ll order takeout if I ever go back.

A small out of the way place that has great seafood. I had she swordfish and it was excellent. Great sweet tea. The kind of place where you keep going back every time you are in town.

Just ate dinner here and was very disappointed. With the Covid epidemic you had to sit outside to eat which I would rather do that anyway. It just finished raining so we had to dry our own table and chairs off but the big problem was the smell. It literally smelled like we were sharing a table with a dumpster. There was no service..we picked up our own drinks and food plus nobody ever checked on us to see if everything was ok. I would recommend that they just stick to carry out only.

Good SeafoodWe just tried the blackened haddock sandwich with fries and the clam chowder. We had a very generous portion of haddock which was seasoned perfectly along with a large serving of fries. The clam chowder was very rich and delicious. Nothing fancy, but good and fresh food. Service was fast.

Seafood that's the best by far they get a five star

We stopped here on our way home from Disney. I don't know if it was because we had only eaten granola bars and pb&j all week, but the food at this place was awesome. It was totally worth the explosive diarrhea my wife and I got several hours later (may have just been from eating real food after a week of eating protein bars and chips at Disney). Would definitely recommend it.

Love,love,love this place. I have to eat here every time that I travel to Daytona Beach😊 Very tiny restaurant, but they serve the best seafood at great prices. It's a very busy place. They have a small outdoor patio also where I was able to bring the dogs after being at the dog park. Nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly (mostly family) staff 🙂

This is the most god awful experience I’ve had with seafood in my life. There isn’t one good thing I could say about this establishment. I debate wether anything in the 30$ meal I ordered was even seafood. I award them zero stars and may god have mercy on their souls.

We hadn't been there in a long while so we decided to go. A different vibe than before and the food just meh. It did not seem that the seafood was fresh. I had the crab cakes. Definatly not the same recipe that that I've had there before. Not anything like it was in the past. Maybe an off night? I sure hope so. I did not recognize any of the staff either. Different cook, different servers. We were wondering if the business was sold??? We might try again sometime in the future but it won't be soon.

This restaurant is a hidden gem, if you didn't know it was here you would likely drive right by, that would be a mistake. It's a very small place with both indoor and outdoor seating. It's generally very busy because the food is so awesome. Their onion rings are some of the best and their fish sandwiches are always really good.

This small restaurant is popular with locals for lunch. A fairly good menu with varied choices of good food and low prices. We found a menu on line as we didn't see one in the shop.Oh, and there is ample parking beside the restaurant with easy access.Food is ordered at the counter and it will be delivered to you when it is ready. Our group of ten got there at noon on Tuesday and all ordered food. We managed to get three small tables together. Our foods came out soon enough and the server was as nice as she was helpful.The place got really busy and folks were lined up to place orders as there is but one person taking orders and payment.Go early and you will surely enjoy dining there.

nice location to meet with family. i had a brother come into town and he asked me to go back here. prices are fair i would say. feels similar to a cafe in chicago i liked.

First time here. The place was packed for lunch. I ordered the 6 fried shrimp and side. $10!!! Each shrimp was butterflied and seemed pounded down to paper thin. Strange. Tasty, but not filling. Expensive. Not going back.

A real surprise treat! A bit unassuming, but the food was great and our waitress was a pleasure. The clam chowder was a particular standout, much thinner than you might expect but the clams were super tender and there was plenty of them. Fish nuggets were pretty awesome as well.

Best fish & chips, best seafood very friendly and services is excellent. It may be a hole-in-the-wall but you can't find any food any better.

It was really good. The fish nuggets are enough for two people. The shrimp is really good. However, being COVID season and everything to go by the time we got back to the hotel to eat the food, the fries were soggy and the coleslaw was very warm. I would suggest they are packed differently. The plate for the fries need to vent, making holes in the styrofoam would work.

I liked it !! First let me say that the place is bright and cheerful. I didn't have white gloves, but appeared clean to me. The lady behind the counter greeted me with a smile and didn't rush me. She answered my questions about menu items in a friendly manner. I ordered a blackened salmon sandwich and cucumber salad side. The salmon was delicious. Served on a soft kaiser roll with lettuce and onion, tartar sauce on the side. I don't usually use the tartar sauce, but this was homemade and perfect for the salmon. The cucumber salad side was just to little ! It was fresh and I enjoyed it, just too little of a good thing.. I plan to go back and try a different dish.

Our first time eating there and the food was very good. The fish and 6 shrimp was excellent, large piece of fish and a huge pile of onion rings. Not heavily battered so you taste the fish and shrimp, not just batter. Didn't care for the collards but that is personal preference as they were a bit too sweet for me so am thinking they add sugar to them. We will definitely be back!

Local eatery, excellent food. The Fish Reuben was GREAT! I will definitely be back on my next trip to FL.

Huge servings, excellent quality sea food, nice people. Great little family owned cafe.

I can`t say that I was really excited when I saw this place at the first time. It looks pretty old and kind of reminds me of fast food place (visually). After we ordered our food (shrimps and crab cake) we got very surprised. It tasted soo good (specially onion rings on the side, I`ve never tried anything better so far) that we were more than happy. But I think management need to think about remodeling inside the cafe and add little more comfort outside of it.

Love their coconut shrimp but the onion rings are world class. This isn't a fancy place, but the food and family's attention to customers is quite evident in their 11 year history. Lots of takeout as well.

The food was exceptional! The fish was cooked perfectly (and I mean that). The fried green tomato was perfectly bartered and fried though it was a bit more ripe than it should be (still very tasty) though this was a ridiculously priced item. The staff was very pleasant as well. I would definitely return.
